Executive Assistant
The Africa Data Foundation (ADF) is a Non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to advancing Africa's prosperity through the strategic utilization of data. Our vision is to place Africa at the forefront of data utilization for the well-being of its people, providing a formidable method of collecting data in a meaningful way and establishing a data bank for governments, institutions, businesses, and communities. Our mission is to institute a databank that holds information on everything in Africa through collaborations and partnerships, establishing a process of information sharing and data collection, and making evidence-based data accessible to end-users.We seek to employ an experienced and dedicated Executive Assistant to support our mission and vision. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years of administrative experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities
• Scheduling appointments for senior staff members, including meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements.
• Follow up on previous engagements and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
• Research grants and public/private initiatives relevant to ADF's mission and objectives.
• Planning, organizing, and coordinating events, including training workshops, conferences, and other social change activities.
• Assisting in preparing reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.
• Providing general administrative support, including managing correspondence, maintaining files, and handling inquiries.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of three years of administrative experience, preferably in a non-profit or similar organization.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high professionalism and discretion.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
